Robert Purbrick is a Consultant Ophthalmologist based in Brighton. He works as an NHS Consultant at Sussex Eye Hospital, University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust, where he is Clinical Lead for the Diabetic Eye Screening Programme and has subspecialty expertise in Medical Retina. He qualified from Liverpool Medical School in 2004 and carried out his postgraduate Ophthalmology training in London, Liverpool and Oxford.

Robert practises general ophthalmology with a special interest in cataract surgery and the management of retinal diseases including age-related macular degeneration (AMD), diabetic eye disease, retinal vascular occlusions, and central serous retinopathy (CSR).
